The Glitter & Twisted designers are Debbie Plowman, Emily Booth and Lydia Foster. We met while studying jewellery design. A shared passion for beautiful handcrafted jewellery has inspired our collaboration ever since.
Recognising the need for a retail presence, we opened our own showroom and workshop in the summer of 2009: Glitter & Twisted was born! The shop is located at 89 Portland Street, Worthing, West Sussex. We also have a Glitter & Twisted online boutique.
My contemporary jewellery designs are based on elegance and simplicity, which can be seen in the precise craftsmanship of my work, which incorporates precious metals and semi-precious stones. I aim to create wonderfully wearable jewellery that has been lovingly handcrafted using traditional silversmith techniques.
My work is heavily influenced by nature, particularly plants and insects. I like to use different textures in my work, with a high-shine finish. I have an eye to current trends with jewellery and love to incorporate fashion into my pieces.
I am inspired by many things, especially nature and the natural world. I like to explore various textures and finishes in my work, using contrasting matt and polished finishes, and silver and gold together. My designs have an organic element, which leads to an individual and quirky style. I make great-quality, distinctive jewellery that looks and feels great to wear.
